By reputation or hard work from sales, you've secured the right to bid on a major piece of equipment or a project. The estimation department kicks into high gear, the price looks good.
The contract is awarded, stipulations and schedules set. Engineering draws up the prints, materials are ordered and time on the production floor is schedule to complete this important piece of business.
Meanwhile the site is being prepared. Dirt is moved, concrete is poured, electricians and mechanical contractors start the foundation in preparation for the arrival of the project. Its coming down to the wire; the schedules have been changed twice but now its time to ship. A rigger is called in for pick up and a rigger is scheduled for the site.
